
Dane McAfee is a Fellow at the Centre for Statecraft and National Security (CSNS) and a PhD student in War Studies at King’s College London. His research spans political theory, intellectual history, power politics, and institutional statecraft, with a particular focus on the reception and influence of Carl Schmitt in American statecraft and political thought. His other interests include medieval and early modern statecraft and constitutional history.
McAfee previously completed an MA in Government Studies at King’s College London and holds a BS in Political Science and History from the University of Texas at Tyler. He began his academic career in classical piano and composition before moving into political study and has also worked in Texas politics.
